Words from our friends...

"I never realized how helpful it is to actually plan a scent before mixing oils. The planner helped me slow down and think about the idea behind the candle instead of just experimenting randomly. It made the whole process feel much more intentional."

Emily, Beginner Candle Maker

"I liked how simple the worksheet was. Writing down my scent concept and hero note gave me a clearer direction before I started testing fragrances. It’s a small tool but it helped organize my ideas a lot better"

Danielle, Hobby Candle Maker

"When you're working on new scents it’s easy to lose track of ideas. This planner helped me map out fragrance concepts before making test batches. It’s a really helpful way to think about scents more intentionally."

Lauren, Candle Brand Owner

The Signature Candle Scent Planner is designed to help you start thinking about fragrance in a more intentional way

1

Your scent concept or inspiration

If you've ever struggled to decide which scents to combine or how to start designing a candle fragrance, this planner will help you begin organizing your ideas.

2

Your hero fragrance note (the main scent of your candle)

The hero note is the scent people will recognize first when they smell your candle. Identifying this main fragrance helps guide the rest of your scent choices and keeps your candle focused around a clear signature scent.

3

Your fragrance family direction

Fragrance families help categorize scents into groups like floral, fruity, gourmand, woody, or fresh. Choosing a fragrance family direction helps narrow your options and gives your candle a clear scent personality.

Many candle makers begin blending fragrance oils without a clear plan. But memorable candle scents usually begin with a concept and structure.

  • Create a story behind your scent

  • Explore the main fragrance note for your candle

  • Discover how the scent might develop while burning your candle

hello!

I'm Soney

Candle Maker, Mother, Adventurer & Chief Motivator

When I first started making candles, I spent a lot more money on fragrance oils than I’d like to admit. I would buy oils, mix different combinations, pour candles, and then realize the scent either didn’t work together or disappeared when the candle was burning. It was frustrating, expensive, and honestly pretty confusing.

Over time, through a lot of testing and learning, I began to understand how fragrance actually behaves in candles, how scent structure works, which notes perform better, and why some candles smell amazing while others fall flat.

I created this free planner to give you direction and help you create your very own signature scented candle.
